New In Stores & An update on me

Been a while since I posted or designed for that matter. Have had so much going on unfortunately! I have made the time to design a few newbies for the stores. You can find them at DDBA, Fairy Dreams, and Scrappetizing...they will be in the other stores soon as soon as I can get a breather to get them uploaded and put in the stores.

Update on school...all is going good. I got a B+ in my Design class (A bit bummed there, as I have A's in all the other, but it's all good,) That class was a bit tougher. I'm taking math now...yay. My fav subject in school, but boy have I got a lot of refreshing to do since I was in college before.

Wish me luck...I'm aiming for that A here too! :-) Kinda ready for my 3 week break after this class before my summer classes start.

Sunglasses Script is interactive and you choose colors, gradients or patterns throughout. Plugina are required: EC5 Impact Glass & Bevel.

My First Tutorial

This is my very 1st tutorial, hopefully they'll get better as I go along. :-)

This tag was made with the FTU kit called My Fantasy by Larcolita's Designz. Get the kit here, it's near the bottom. She has some truly amazing kits!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

First you will need to open the My Fantasy frame. Click on the magic wand & click inside the frame in all open spaces to get the marching ants.
Go to Selections, modify & expand by 2.
Leaving the selections on that layer, open a new layer & flood fill with color of choice.
Selections, select none.
Move this layer below the frame layer.

Open the Decoration 1 image, copy & paste as new layer onto tag. Position as desired.

Open the Bird 2 Image, resize by 50%, copy & paste as new layer onto tag. position as desired.

Open the Dust 1 image, copy & paste onto tag. Position as desired.

Open the Dust 2 image, & do the same as with dust 1 image. Position as desired.

Open the Faerie image, copy 7 paste as a new layer onto the tag. Position her as you want her. Some of the image can be out of the frame, it will be removed later.

Click on the eye on the Faerie layer to disable it. Find the frame layer, choose the freehand selection tool. Trace the inside edge of the frame where the faerie is and covering the part of where the faerie is that needs to be removed. Go back to the faerie layer and click the eye again to enable the image. Now hit delete on your keyboard, this should remove the part of the image that isn't inside the frame. Adjust the image as needed.

Add a new layer, and choose the size, font, & color you wish to use. Add your name. I made mine with two separate layers, both with a different color to give a little more depth.

Now go through each layer and give them all a dropshadow. Go to Effects, 3D Effects, Dropshadow. You can use whatever setting you prefer, but my setting were:
vertical / horizontal - 0
opacity - 50
blur - 6.00
color - black

Now just be sure to add credits to your tag before saving! :-)

Where has the time gone!

Already the middle of January already! I gotta get some designing done. I have just released three new zencart templates at Fairy Dreams, Starlight Scraps & Dezigns By Amanda. Working on some blog layouts to match those too. I was hoping to get a Valentine's kit finished up too by the end of the month.

For those who have been asking how my dad is and how school is going.....My dad's doing alot better than he was, we almost lost him on Christmas Eve, so we had a horrible Christmas around here. I was driving back & forth to North Carolina almost every day til they had him stable. He's home now, but under hospice care. Seems to be doing pretty good though! As for school, I'm really liking it! I love the fact of it being online! :-)

I'll try to get back with some kind of freebie for ya soon!

I was able to list some more of my older printables in the store last night. First is my Circus Clown Wrapper Set. It is a 7 piece set that includes the labels for a gallon paint can, gable box, Standard Hershey's Bar wrapper that is open end & one that is closed end, and an invitation.

Next is the Blue Delights Wrapper Set. It includes: gallon paint can labels, Standard Open End Hershey's Wrappers, Miniatures Wrapper & Gable Box.

And next is the Yellow Delights Wrapper Set. It also includes: Gallon Paint Can labels, Standard Open End Hershey's wrapper, Miniatures Wrapper & gable box.

New Candy Cake Sets Released & Some Misc Freebies For You!

I am adding a few freebies to this post as well. I just recently cleaned up the store a bit and removed the freebies from it, figured I would just start posting all freebies here. Some of these are from the store and some are new! First is a gorgeous standard hershey's bar wrapper that I made with my flamingo pink skrap kit. I am sooo pleased with how it turned out! You can find the skrap kit here.

And here is a teddy bear I made while playing with a script, he would actually be an addition to the Shades Of Purple skrap kit that is available in the store. Hope someone can make some use of him, figured he could use a home instead of just sitting in my many files....lol. Be sure to give credit to me when using any of my designs in commercial products!
